Doppio standard / Double standard

Avete mai sentito parlare del doppio standard? Il doppio standard si riferisce a tutti i set di principi che contengono delle aspettative diverse per una persona o un gruppo che per l'altro gruppo / altra persona. Per spiegare meglio questa definizione faccio un esempio, ci sono delle persone che di fronte a due persone, una persona bianca e una persona di colore nella situazione di un delitto, offrono alla persona bianca la presunzione del'innocenza ma non a quella di colore, questa persona deve provare la sua innocenza. I principi devono essere uguali per tutti ma il doppio standard altera questa regola ed altera anche il principio del'imparzialità. Quindi il doppio standard si descrive in una prevenzione oppure un favoreggiamento basato sulla posizione sociale, religione, etnicità, sul orientamento sessuale ed il sesso delle persone coinvolte oppure su altre distinzioni. Spesso per placare le preoccupazioni elevate dal doppio standard la gente usa l'espressione "la vita non è giusta" ma la verità è che a una persona che dimostra di avere un doppio standard dovrebbe esserli tolto il diritto di giudicare. In riferimento al doppio standard si può nominare anche la discriminazione, la moralità, e l'ipocrisia che non sono sinonimi al doppio standard ma relazionati. Presto spiegherò che porta una persona ad avere doppi standard. Ciao!

Have you ever heard about the double standard? The double standard refers to all sets of principles containing different provisions for one person or one group of people than for another. To explain better this definition I will exemplify, there are persons that in front of two persons of diferent races in case of a crime give the presumption of innocence to the white person but not to the black person that has to prove his/ her innocence. The principles have to be the same for everybody but the double standard alters this pattern and the impartiality principle too. Thus the double standard decribes itself as a bias or a favoritism based on social status, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation and gender or other distinctions. Often, to molify the concerns over double standard people use to say: "life is not fair", but the truth is that to a person that has a double standard should be removed the right to judge. Talking about double standars we should also nominate discrimination, morality and hypocrisy, not synonyms to double standard but connected to it. Oggi parlo di nuovo di musica e ho scelto di parlare di una band di ragazzi italiani che cantano una musica molto bella con dei versi che ti coinvolgono immediatamente e alla fine della canzone ti trovi canticchiarla. Non sono usciti da un talent show quindi per loro fare strada e molto più difficile ma questo secondo me è un punto a loro favore, non hanno preso la via più facile per arrivare al successo. Al inizio del mese di marzo il loro nuovo EP sarà sul mercato quindi se vi piace quello che sentite cliccando qui potrete acquistarlo in futuro. Today I'm writting again about music and I chose to talk about an italien boy band who sings a very good music with lyrics that get you carried away immediately and at the end of the song you find youself humming it. They are not a product of a talent show therefore in my opinion this is in their favour because they haven't choose the easy way to get to the success. Paure e complessi d'infanzia

Oggi voglio discutere di un argomento che è nello stesso tempo semplice e complicato. Cosa c'è dietro la passione per i film horror? Non è in discussione se questa passione è positiva o negativa, in discussione è solo il perche. Questa idea è nata dopo aver parlato con un amico di questa cosa. Non pretendo offrire una spiegazione esaustiva, perche un processo non ha mai una sola causa, la dinamica di ogni meccanismo è in una relazione di dipendenza con le particolarità psicologiche di ogni individuo, con il ambito sociale di ogni persona, l'educazione, le traume, le precedenti esperienze. Queste cose sono discutibili solo per ogni caso in particolare, ma ci sono cose che succedono nella infanzia di ogni bambino o bambina come il momento in quale ogni bambino conosce le differenze fisiche fra un sesso e l'altro. Parlo del complesso della castrazione che succede quando un bambino vede che lui ha qualcosa che la bambina non ha. Nei casi dei bambini questa cosa genera il complesso della castrazione, nel caso delle bambine che si considerano già castarate genera l'inividia del pene. Il complesso di castrazione ha come essenza la paura che si forma nella mente del bambino che suo padre lo castrerà. Il bambino cresce volendo essere più forte del padre ed ha molte probabilità di sviluppare tendenze verso il machismo ed il desiderio segreto di essere un macho. La mia osservazione sui uomini che preferiscono questo genere di film e che sono uomini molto preoccupati con il loro aspetto esteriore, vogliono apparire forti, veri uomini agli altri. Questa è una situazione normale, preoccupante è però la situazione delle persone a cui piace vedere scene di sangue e di morte avendo come base delle traume del'infanzia.
Nel caso delle donne che hanno svilupato questa invidia del pene, loro vogliono essere forti come sono gli uomini, avere gli stessi diritti, hanno un comportamento duro, un bisogno forte di avere una cariera nelle arie dominate dagli uomini. Per provare la loro fortezza sono disposte a rinunciare alla sensibilità femminile, rinnegarla, ed ingaggiarsi in attività e comportamenti socialmente attribuiti ai maschi. Today I intend to discuss about a subject that in the same time is simple and complex. What is behind the passion for the horror movies? It is not quastionable the positivity or negativity of this passion, just the origins. This idea came to me after having a discussion with a friend about this subject. I don't claim to offer an exhaustive explanation, because a process does not have just one cause, the dynamics of every mechanism is in a relatioship of dependency with the psychologic details of every individual, with the social circle of every person, education, traumas, prior experiences. This things can be debatable for every case in particular, but there are things that happen in every boy's or girl's childhood like the moment when every child becomes aware of the physical differences between sexes. I am talking about the castration complex (anxiety) that happens when a boy finds out that he has something tha the girl does not have. In the case of the boys this generates the castration anxiety, in the case of the girls that already consider themselves castrated generates the pennis envy. The castration anxiety has as basics the fear that forms in the boy's mind that his father will castrate him. The child grows up wanting to be stronger than his father and has many chances to develop tendencies towards machismo and the secret desire of beeing a macho. My observations on the men who prefer this kind of movies is that they are preoccupied with their looks, to seem strong true men to others. This is a normal situation, worrisome is the situation in wich people who like bloody and deathly scenes are persons who have had traumas during their childhood.
In the case of women who developed pennis envy, they want to be strong like men are, to have the same rights, they have a tough behavior, a strong need to have a carrier in the fields dominated by men. To prove their strength they are willing to give up, rinounce their female sensibility and engage in activities and behaviours socialy assigned to men. For further questions please leave a comment. Need or egoism?

Al mio parere c'è una sottile linea fra il bisogno e l'egoismo che facilmente può essere oltrepassata. Una necessità soddisfatta che purtroppo persiste creando disagio e problemi agli altri non è più bisogno ma diventa una manifestazione egoista. Quando una persona usa come scusa una necessità per ottenere o per evitare qualcosa non pertinente o pocco pertinente alla necessità, parliamo di nuovo di una manifestazione del'egoismo. Questo tipo di egoismo e sostanzialmente diverso dal egoismo puro perchè è un egoismo lavorato, pianificato che ha come parte principale l'inganno intenzionato. Come si può riconoscere questo tipo di egoismo? Davanti a una situazione come questa cambiate certe dati della situazione e se il bisogno scompare senza aver fatto niente per eliminarlo, e chiaro!

In my opinion there is a fine line between need and egoism that easily can be oversteped. A satisfied necessity that unfortunately persists creating discomfort and problems to others ins't a necessity any more but becomes a selfish manifestation. When a person uses as escuse a necessity to obtain or to avoid something irrelevant or less relevant for that need, we have again a manifestation of selfishness. This type of egoism is substantially different from the egoism in pure form because is a prepared, planned selfishness that has as main component the intentional deception. How can you recognize this type of egoism? When facing a situation like this, change some aspects and if the necessity desappears without having done anything to eliminate it, you'll know!

The power of stereotypes

Voglio cominciare spiegando che cos'è il stereotipo, il stereotipo è in parole povere una scorciatoia cognitiva basata su una esperienza precedente con un elemento di un gruppo, esperienza che ha originato un'idea astratta sul oggetto della esperienza, che poi è stata estrapolata al intero gruppo di cui il oggetto implicato fa parte. Se in tempo lo stesso comportamento o caratteristica è osservata nei rapporti con il gruppo interessato si forma il stereotipo. Il stereotipo può essere utilizzato anche dalle persone che non hanno mai avuto delle esperienze precedenti al riguardo, e non deve essere per forza completamente vero o completamente falso per essere utilizzato. Il stereotipo rimane implementato nella memoria collettiva ed è tirato fuori quando una persona incontra una persona del gruppo riguardante. Perché è una scorciatoia cognitiva? Perché ogni volta che una persona incontra un elemento di un certo gruppo ha bisogno di qualche informazioni di base per poter relazionare con il elemento rispettivo, il stereotipo porta delle informazioni che sono utili per la prima esperienza, prima di conoscere l'elemento riguardante. Cosi, il stereotipo ci aiuta a risparmiare energia mentale che sarà poi utilizzata in stabilire una relazione. L'utilizzo del stereotipo non è assolutamente sconsigliato o consigliato, ma debba essere usato con cautela. Secondo me, sono delle categorie di persone che non devano mai usare gli stereotipi in certe situazioni:
- Psicologi con i loro clienti
- Medici con i loro pazienti
- Poliziotti con i cittadini
- Professori con gli allievi

I want to begin by explaining what is a stereotype, in a few words a stereotype is a cognitive shortcut based on a previous experience with an element of a group, experience that originated an abstract idea of the object of the experience that later was extrapolated to the entire group to which the object involved belongs to. If in time the same behaviour or feature is noticed in the interactions with the concerned group a streotype is born. A stereotype can be used also by persons that have never had prior concerning experiences, and doesn't have to be necessarily completely true or false. A stereotype remains implemented in the collective memory and is drawn out when a person meets another person belonging to the concernig group. Why is a cognitive shortcut? Because every time a person meets an element of a certain group needs some basic informations that are very usefull for a first experience, before knowing the regarding element. Therefore, a stereotype helps us save mental energy that will later be used in establihing a relation. The use of a stereotype isn't absolutely adviced against or recommended, but is has to be used with caution. In my opinion there are categories of people that should never use stereotypes in certain situations:
- Psychologists with their clients
- Doctors with their patients
- Policemen with citizens
- Teachers with the students
